Often times, in this day and age, it is necessary to contact a customer at their work place phone number. Many people must abide by their company’s policies regarding conducting personal business while on the job. Likewise, the service company must respect and understand the individual needs of every company policy. This personal request for communications during one’s work hours may be viewed by management as unnecessary or interfering with the normal responsibilities of this employee. Honest mistakes of this nature have been made in the past and we try to communicate this possibility before service begins. Always ask the customer if they can be contacted at work, and offer an alternative way of communicating, i.e., email, home phone, or simply by leaving a message on their phone to call the Service Company as soon as possible. Generally speaking, if this possibility is addressed prior to commencement of work, embarrassment and frustration can most likely be avoided.Obtaining permission to contact the customer at work
